Narcotics Investigators Arrest Alleged Heroin Dealers
Orcutt - March 28th, 2013
A couple was arrested at a home in Orcutt on Wednesday, March 27th, for possessing and conspiring to sell heroin. Members of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit made the arrests at approximately 7:40 in the morning, after serving a search warrant at a residence located in the 4400 block of Kenai Court. During the service of the search warrant, Detectives arrested 37 year old Jacob Rodriguez for possession and conspiracy to sell heroin, possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine smoking pipe. Narcotics Investigators also arrested Rodriguez’s girlfriend, 41 year old Charlene Jordan, for conspiracy to sell heroin and for being in possession of stolen clothing from Macy’s. The couple had been living with Jordan’s parents at the home.
Numerous complaints expressed by community members, reporting suspected drug activity at the residence prompted the initial investigation. A search warrant was obtained after a Narcotics Investigator witnessed a suspected illegal drug transaction in front of the home.
Rodriguez was booked on charges of 11351 HS - Possession of heroin for sale, 182 PC – Conspiracy, 11377 HS - Possession of methamphetamine, 11364 HS – Possession of drug paraphernalia. Jordan was charged with 11351 HS - Possession of heroin for sale, 182 PC – Conspiracy and 496 PC – Possession of stolen property. Both were booked into the Santa Barbara County jail, with bail set at 30,000 dollars each. They will be arraigned tomorrow.
