Goleta DUI/Driver's License Checkpoint Results
Goleta - April 30th, 2012
Goleta Police conducted a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint on Friday, April 27th as part of Goleta’s commitment to public safety. The checkpoint was held between 7:00pm and 3:00am at Storke Road @ Phelps Road in the City of Goleta. This operation was one of many that have or will be conducted throughout the year in the City of Goleta. Here are the results of the checkpoint:
Vehicles Screened: 891
DUI Arrests: 2
Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License: 7
Driving with a suspended driver’s license: 3
Vehicles Impounded for 30 days: 3
Vehicles Impounded for 1 day: 5
Zero tolerance arrest: 1
Driver’s Evaluated for DUI (Alcohol / Drugs) 15 (Drivers under the influence of alcohol, but not determined to be DUI)
Miscellaneous citations: 4
Langden Wood Owen IV (DOB 05/30/85) of South Lake Tahoe was arrested for DUI.
Jeffrey Scott Campbell (DOB 04/24/87) of Sacramento was arrested for DUI.
Jentry Anthony Totaro (DOB 05/15/92) of San Diego was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and for a minor driving a motor vehicle with alcohol in their system, but he was under .08% BAC.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The City of Goleta contracts with the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office for police services.
