Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure at High School

Goleta Police have arrested a 20-year old Goleta man for indecent exposure following an incident on the Dos Pueblos High School campus today.
At approximately 11:00am the Dos Pueblos High School Resource Deputy was alerted that a man on the football field had exposed himself to some female students.
The deputy immediately responded, but the suspect had left the area. Additional Goleta Police responded and searched the area and surrounding neighborhood.
Based on witness statements, the school resource deputy was able to identify a suspect who lived just two blocks away on the 00-block of Mendocino Drive. The deputy contacted the suspect Jonathon Ruben Josua Mendoza (DOB 10/24/91) at the home on Mendocino.
As a result of the investigation, Mendoza was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for misdemeanor indecent exposure (314(1) PC). Mendoza was also found to be in possession of a concealed dagger and was booked for felony 21310 PC on $20,000 bail.
Due to the current state of the investigation, a booking photo will not be released at this time.
The City of Goleta contracts with the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office for police services.
