Sobriety Checkpoint Results City of Goleta
Goleta - July 29th, 2013
As part of Goleta’s commitment to public safety, Goleta Police conducted a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint on Friday, July 26th. The checkpoint was held between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. on southbound Storke Road north of Hollister Avenue in Goleta. This operation was one of many that have or will be conducted throughout the year in the City of Goleta.
Here are the results of the checkpoint:
Vehicles Screened: 1,239
DUI Arrests: 2
Felony Arrest: 1
Driving without a Valid Driver’s License: 8
Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License 1
Vehicles Impounded for 30 days: 3
Vehicles Impounded for 1 day: 2
Criminal Citations: 2
Miscellaneous Traffic Citations: 4
Driver’s Evaluated for DUI (Alcohol / Drugs) 26 (were evaluated and determined not to be impaired)
Ryan Taylor Logan (08-17-78) of Goleta was arrested for DUI.
Luis Alberto Colin Martinez (10-30-80) of Goleta was arrested for Felony Impersonation of Another and Driving without a Valid Driver’s License
Francisco Franco Resendiz (08-16-76) of Goleta was arrested for DUI.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The City of Goleta contracts with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office for police services.
