Missing Person Case - Public's Help Requested
Santa Ynez Valley- August 20th, 2012
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies and the family of 55 year old Kurt Brimberry are seeking the help of the public in locating Mr. Brimberry. On Saturday, August 18th, 2012 CHP and Sheriff's Department Personnel reponded to a report of a Silver 2003 Mercedez Benz SUV involved in a collision with a tree in the 2500 Block of Alisal Road, near Nojoqui Park.
The vehicle was totaled, and the driver was not found at the scene. A passerby reported seeing a man matching Kurt Brimberry's description walking toward the Alisal Guest Ranch, on Alisal Road, a short time after the time of the collision, but responding emergency workers could not find him. Kurt Brimberry was not found at local hotels or the hospital, and a search of the area by the Sheriff's helicopter, dogs, and Sheriff's Search and Rescue personnel revealed no leads. Mr. Brimberry's cell phone was left on vehicle's front seat.
Mr. Brimberry may require medical attention because of the collision and a previously existing medical condition. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue polo shirt and Topsider deck shoes. Kurt Brimberry is 6-00, 210 pounds, blond hair, blue eyes, and has fair skin.
