Suspect Robs Pharmacy for Prescription Pills in Goleta


Goleta- August 21st, 2013

 

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance to help locate a suspect from an armed robbery that occurred just before 1 p.m. at the Walgreens located in the 5900 block of Calle Real.  The suspect walked up to the pharmacy consultation window and handed the pharmacy staff a note demanding a list of prescription medications.  He displayed a handgun in his waistband.  The employee turned over an undisclosed amount of prescription medication and the suspect walked out on foot. 

Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit Copter One and searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect.  He was captured by surveillance cameras.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic Male in his early twenties, approximately 5’11” tall and 170 pounds.  He was wearing a black baseball cap, aviator sunglass, a green plaid shirt, khaki pants and a dark jacket. 

Sheriff’s Detectives are releasing photos and ask that anyone with information regarding the suspect or the crime to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau immediately at (805) 681-4150 or you can leave an anonymous tip at (805) 681-4171.
