Traffic Stop Leads to Rock Cocaine Bust

A traffic stop in Buellton has led to a significant drug bust while landing a Santa Maria couple in the Santa Barbara County Jail.
At approximately 9:45pm on Thursday, December 22, 2011, a Sheriff’s patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding on Highway 246 near Riverview. As the deputy spoke with the man and woman in the car, he detected the odor of burnt marijuana in the vehicle.
The subsequent search of the car, and the search of its two adult occupants, led to the discovery of nine ounces of rock cocaine. Adrian Anderson (DOB 03/14/81) and Danielle Jordan (DOB 10/02/79) were arrested and their two year old child in common was taken into protective custody by Child Welfare Services.
Patrol deputies relayed the arrest information to Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives who conducted the follow up investigation. On Friday, December 23, 2011, narcotics detectives served a search warrant at the couple’s home in the 200 block of Inger Drive in Santa Maria at which time they found additional rock cocaine and a .357 Magnum handgun.
Anderson and Jordan are facing charges of 273a(a) PC – Felony child endangerment, 11351.5 H&S – Possession of rock cocaine for sale, 182 PC – Conspiracy, and 12021(a) PC – Unlawful possession of a firearm.
As of Monday morning, December 26, 2011, both Anderson and Jordan remained in jail on $100,000 bail.
