LOMPOC P.D. DUI CHECKPOINT RESULTS
NETS 16 ARRESTS
LOMPOC- JUNE 14th, 2010
The Lompoc Police Department conducted two DUI/Drivers License Checkpoints this weekend, one on Friday June 11 and the other Sunday June 13, 2010 as part of Lompoc’s commitment to public safety. These checkpoints were two of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in Lompoc. The location of Friday’s checkpoint was in the 300 block of west Ocean Avenue and Sunday’s checkpoint was in the 200 block of east Ocean Avenue, both for west bound traffic. The goal of the DUI Checkpoints was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Even one drink is one to many.
The following charges/arrests were made during the checkpoints:

been drinking & driving but were under the legal limit)
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1!
