Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives Re-Arrest South County Drug Dealers

Santa Barbara - January 10th, 2008

On December 21st 2007, Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives conducted two search warrants at the residences of suspected drug dealers in Santa Barbara County. After an eight month long investigation, Narcotics Detectives arrested eight subjects suspected of dealing and using Methamphetamine after serving search and arrest warrants in the 1300 block of Sycamore Canyon Road in Santa Barbara, and the 200 block of Bonnie Lane in Montecito.

On January 8, 2008 Narcotics Detectives returned to the residence in the 1300 block of Sycamore Canyon Road in the City of Santa Barbara after developing information in which a search warrant was issued. Upon service of the search warrant, Narcotics Detectives arrested 30 year old Samuel Huerta (07-15-77), 34 year old Jesse Deason (12-5-73), 25 year old Charlene Iniguez (11-9-82) and 29 year old Eric Johnson (8-20-78). Detectives seized numerous packages of tar heroin, packaging materials, firearms, and other paraphernalia associated with the sales of narcotics. All subjects were also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Samuel Huerta was arrested possession of drug paraphernalia, under the influence of a controlled substance and committing a new offense while on bail. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.

Jesse Deason was arrested for possession of heroin, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and being in violation of his probation. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bail.

Charlene Iniguez was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bail.

Erik Johnson was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a violation of his probation. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.
