Goleta Sexual Assault

Goleta - January 18th, 2009

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the overnight sexual assault of an elderly woman in a residence on the 100-block of Kalley Drive in Goleta.

The 71-year old victim said she was awakened around 3:15am early Sunday, January 18, 2009 by strange sounds inside her home. Upon investigation she discovered a man had gained entry through an unlocked window.

The suspect sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing the scene on foot. Three K-9 deputies were able to determine the suspect fled in a south/easterly direction.
