Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives Arrest Mother and Boyfriend for Child Endangerment
Santa Barbara - January 23rd, 2008
On January 23, 2008, Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Departments Gang Unit conducted a Probation search in the 300 block of St. Josephs in Los Alamos.
At the residence Narcotics Detectives contacted Anthony Parker Sr. (49) who is on active County Probation, his wife Isabelle Parker (45), and the couple’s nine year old son. Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives were advised that Anthony Parker Sr.’s 19 year old daughter was also in the residence in a rear bedroom. In the bedroom, Narcotic Detectives found Bernadette Parker (19) and her boyfriend Jesus Cardenas Ramos (25) of National City, smoking methamphetamine in the enclosed bedroom with no ventilation. Also found in the room, which was filled with white smoke, was Bernadette Parkers three year old son.
Bernadette Parker and Jesus Cardenas Ramos were both taken into custody and arrested for Felony child endangerment, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both Bernadette Parker and Jesus Cardenas Ramos were booked into the Santa Barbara County / Santa Maria Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
Anthony Parker was arrested for being under the influence of Methamphetamines and for violating his Probation. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County / Santa Maria Jail with no bail due to his Probation violation. Isabel Parker was arrested for being under the influence of methamphetamines, in addition to having an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was booked into the Santa Barbara County / Santa Maria Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.
The children, 13, 9, and 3 year old child were taken into protective custody by Child Welfare Services and taken to Marian Medical Center for medical evaluation.
