Child Annoyance Suspect

Buellton - March 6th, 2009

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a suspicious man approaching a child in Buellton.

On Thursday, March 5, 2009 at approximately 3:15 PM an 11-year old female was walking home from school. A male adult in a green two door vehicle pulled over to the side of the road and told her she looked really hungry and would she like some food. The child declined. The man then got out of his car and approached the female saying that he had some food for her. The child ran off and reported the incident.

The Sheriff’s Department was immediately called and Deputies saturated the area looking for the man who was described as a male adult, 30ish, short black or brown hair, approximately 6’00 tall, wearing black or dark clothing.
