Detectives Arrest 2 Men for Rape

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested two young men for the rape of a teenage girl.

On Sunday March 8, 2009 the two suspects and the 16-year old victim consumed alcohol at a home on the 17-hundred block of Oakbrook Lane in Orcutt. Sometime between 10:00PM and 10:30PM, the two suspects sexually assaulted the victim who was conscious, but intoxicated.

Afterward, one of the suspects drove the victim home. Two days later the victim informed one of her parents of the incident. That parent immediately contacted the Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Detectives began their investigation which included a warrant to search the home on Oakbrook. After conducting interviews and gathering evidence Detectives determined a crime had taken place and arrested 18-year old Patrick James Gee.

The second suspect, 19-year old Travis Blake Allen, apparently left the area, but Detectives were able to track him down in Pomona, California where he was arrested without incident on Monday, March 16, 2009 with the help of the Pomona Police Department.

Both suspects, who have already posted bail, face the following charges: Sexual assault of an intoxicated victim (261.3 P.C.), Penetration with a foreign object (289 P.C.), Oral copulation (288a (b) (1) P.C.), and Criminal conspiracy (182 P.C.).
