Sheriff's Narcotics Detective Arrest Cocaine Dealer

Sant Barbara - March 27th, 2008

On March 21st. 2008, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives after a five month long investigation arrest a local drug dealer suspected of selling Cocaine. As a result of two search warrants; one in the 1400 block of San Andres St. in Santa Barbara, and the other in the 6700 block of Telephone Road in Ventura, Narcotics Detectives arrested 33 year old Ivan Flores of Ventura.

While conducting the search warrant in the 1400 block of San Andres St. in Santa Barbara, Narcotics Detectives found Flores to be in possession of over one ounce of Cocaine packaged for sale. An additional search warrant conducted at Flores’ residence in the 6700 block of Telephone Road in Ventura, Detectives seized over 1.2 pounds (1/2 kilo) of cocaine, 1 pound of processed marijuana and approximately twenty eight thousand dollars in cash. It should be noted that the cocaine was seized in a children’s play tent which was located in Flores’ daughter’s bedroom. In addition, the residence was also within 1,000 feet of a local school

Ivan Flores was arrested for possession and transportation of Cocaine for sale, possession of over one ounce of marijuana, child endangerment, and possession of a controlled substance for sale within 1,000 feet of a school. Flores was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $150,000.00 bail.
