Narcotics Detectives Arrest Lompoc Resident Selling Methamphetamine
Lompoc - April 9th, 2008
On April 9, 2008, Narcotics Detectives from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department concluded a several week investigation into the sales of Methamphetamine, with the arrest of 24 year old Arturo Mendez.
A search warrant was conducted at Mendez’s residence in the 200 block of North B Street in the City of Lompoc in which Narcotics Detectives seized; approximately 13 ounces of ICE with a street value of approximately $37,000.00, several firearms which included a “sawed off” shotgun and approximately $30,000.00 in US currency.
Arturo Mendez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled substance, and possession of a dangerous weapon. Mendez is currently being held in the Lompoc City Jail without bail.
