Detectives Seek Public's Help in Hendry's Beach Homicide

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public for help as they find the person responsible for a stabbing that claimed the life of a Santa Barbara County man.
At 6:28pm on Thursday, April 15, 2010, Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Deputies and Santa Barbara Police officers responded to 911 calls reporting a fight at Hendry’s Beach/Arroyo Burro Beach in Santa Barbara. When Santa Barbara Police officers arrived on scene they discovered a crowd of two-to three hundred people in the parking lot and surrounding area. They also found a male in his 40’s who had been the victim of a stabbing.
Santa Barbara City Fire, American Medical Response and Santa Barbara County Fire also responded. Life saving efforts were made to save the victim who was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. However, the victim died.Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Detectives are currently investigating the incident as a homicide and have gathered evidence and witness statements with the help of Santa Barbara Police.
