Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives Arrest Suspected Cocaine Dealer

Santa Barbara- May 20th, 2010

On Wednesday May 19th 2010, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff Narcotics Detectives concluded an investigation into a suspected cocaine dealer in southern Santa Barbara County.

On May 19, 2010 Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives contacted the suspect, identified as Crespin Jimenez MORALES (12-20-90) of Santa Barbara, on his cellular phone. Morales agreed to meet with an undercover detective and sold the detective ½ ounce of rock cocaine. An additional search incident to his arrest yielded another ¼ ounce of crack cocaine secreted on MORALES’ person.

Morales was  booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for violations of 11351 H&S – Sales of controlled substance, 11352 H&S – Transportation of controlled substance, 11351.5 H&S – Sales of rock/base cocaine. Morales was denied bail due to an immigration detainer/review by ICE.
