Arrest Warrants Issued for Randy and Evi Quaid

Santa Barbara - September 24th, 2009

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Detective’s have obtained a warrant for the arrest of actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi as part of a criminal investigation.

In early September, Sheriff’s Detectives received a complaint that the Quaids had not paid a bill in excess of $10,000 due to a local hotel. During the investigation Detectives determined there was enough evidence to request a warrant for the couple’s arrest.

A judge issued the warrant after Sheriff’s Detectives filed a case with the District Attorney’s Office. The bail is set at $20,000 each.

At this time, the couple is not in custody and Sheriff’s Detectives have not been able to interview Randy Quaid. There will be no more information released due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
