Randy and Evi Quaid Arrested

Santa Barbara - September 24th, 2009

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department has been informed that actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid have been arrested near Marfa, Texas.

Each faces charges of Burglary, Defrauding an Innkeeper and Conspiracy; all three are felonies.

The Presidio County Sheriff’s Department informed the SBSO that Randy and his wife were taken into custody this afternoon. We’re told a struggle ensued with Evi Quaid, but she was quickly restrained. The couple is currently being held by the Presidio County Sheriff’s Department. 

At this time it is not known if the Quaids will be extradited to Santa Barbara County or released after posting bail in Presidio County.
