Sheriff's Detectives Make Arrest in Goleta Rabobank Robbery
Los Angeles, CA - December 28th, 2007
On November 29, 2007 the Rabobank located at 5340 Hollister Ave. in the City of Goleta was robbed by three unidentified black males. During the robbery, one suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the bank employees onto the ground. The three suspects then systematically went to each teller drawer and the vault removing an undisclosed amount of cash. The three suspects fled the bank on foot through the parking lot. The robbery appeared organized and was executed in a matter of minutes.
Sheriff’s Detectives investigating the robbery were able to identify two suspects. In conjunction with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division Robbery Unit, Sheriff’s Detectives obtained search and arrest warrants for 3 different locations in the greater Los Angeles area. These search and arrest warrants were served last week resulting in the arrest of 19 year old Christopher Turner, 03/27/88, of Los Angeles. Turner was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail for Robbery, Conspiracy and Theft of a Vehicle and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.
A second suspect, a 16 year old juvenile also from the Los Angeles area was not located during the warrant services. There is a $1,000,000.00 warrant for his arrest. Sheriff’s Detectives continue to follow-up on information as to the identity of the third suspect and location of the outstanding juvenile.
