EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: A new Mandatory Evacuation Order area has been declared for Montecito This area is west of Sheffield Drive/East Valley Road/Ladera Lane, east of Olive Mill/Hot Spring Road, north of the ocean, and south of the U.S. Forest Service boundary.

The Mandatory Evacuation Order was established because the foot and pedestrian traffic reached a point that it was impacting the ability of Search and Rescue, Public Works and first responders to clear the roadway and engage in search, rescue and recovery efforts.

The area also needs to be clear for cleanup and damage assessment efforts to move forward.
