Hundreds of Carpinteria residents packed the Carpinteria High School gymansium last night to get an update on the Thomas Fire and learn how they can best prepare in case they are ordered to leave or have already evacuated. What an incredible community. The camaraderie and care for one another during a time of crisis is impressive. Sheriff Brown stressed the importance that NOW is the time to prepare and to be ready to leave in a moment’s notice, in case the Thomas Fire conditions worsen. Thank you Carpinteria for your responsiveness and your attentiveness. We are proud to serve you.
