Custody Staff Catch Drugs Being Smuggled Into the Jail

Great job by our Custody Team for another case of catching drugs before they enter our jail facility.

On July 3, 2018 approximately 6 p.m. , Andrea Lynn Martyniuk, 30 of Santa Barbara was arrested and brought into the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Main Jail. The Classification Unit had strong intel that Martyniuk would be attempting to smuggle illegal drugs into the facility. After a thorough search of Martyniuk , 3.2 grams of presumptive Methamphetamine was found along with 2.5 grams of presumptive tar Heroin. The total worth of the drugs on the street is approximately $275.00, but in a custody setting, the drugs are worth approximately $2000.00
