Mandatory Evacuation Orders for additional areas of Montecito were lifted at noon today by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. The public should consult the County’s interactive evacuation map at www.CountyofSB.org for detailed information of the areas described below.
The Mandatory Evacuation Order is lifted for the following area in Montecito:
- North of East Valley Road/Hwy 192
- East of San Ysidro Road/East Mountain Drive/West Park Lane
- West of Romero Canyon Road
- South of the Forest Boundary
The evacuation order is also lifted for the following area of Bonnymede Drive in Montecito:
- South of US 101
- East of Olive Mill Road/Channel Drive
- West of Ocean Meadow Place
- North of the ocean
Long-term Exclusion Zones for Cold Springs/Montecito and San Ysidro remain in effect and are open only to residents, business owners and those conducting official business in the area. Residents with property in long-term Exclusion Zone areas are allowed to enter those areas, after showing proof of residence at law enforcement checkpoints. Residents may escort contractors and insurance adjusters into the area.
Due to the closure of several bridges, normal routes of travel into and out of these areas may be blocked.

Restoration of certain utilities continues. Residents are to contact utilities companies directly for restoration assistance and questions.

The boil water notice for the area is still in effect. Residents returning to the area are asked to drive cautiously due to the ongoing presence of heavy truck traffic.
