Suspect Arrested for 11 Alleged Sex Crimes

Santa Barbara, Calif. – This morning, 6/22/2020, 53-year-old David Guillod of Sherman Oaks surrendered himself at Sheriff’s Headquarters where detectives arrested him on a warrant that outlines 11 alleged sex crimes. This arrest is the culmination of an extensive investigation that began in 2017. The case required a coordinated effort with the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County District Attorney and the Santa Barbara County District Attorney.

The details of this case have been sealed by the court, pending trial. The scope of information that the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has available for release is limited to the charges, bail amount and booking photo.

Guillod was booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail on Monday, June 22, 2020 for the following felony charges: Kidnap for Rape; Rape of a Person Prevented from Resisting Due to an Intoxicating, Anesthetic or Controlled Substance; Rape of Unconscious Person; Sexual Penetration of an Intoxicated Person By A Foreign Object; Sexual Penetration of an Unconscious Person by a Foreign Object; Oral Copulation with a Person Prevented From Resisting due to an Intoxicating, Anesthetic or Controlled Substance; Oral Copulation with an Unconscious Person; Rape of a Person Prevented from Resisting Due to an Intoxicating, Anesthetic or Controlled Substance; Rape of Unconscious Person; Rape of a Person Prevented from Resisting Due to an Intoxicating, Anesthetic or Controlled Substance; and Rape of Unconscious Person. He is being held on $3,000,000 bail.
