Lompoc Station

The Lompoc Station is located in the northwest corner of Santa Barbara County and is commanded by Sheriff’s Lieutenant Travis Henderson. The station is staffed with a team of dedicated deputies who are proud to serve and protect the residents who live in this community.  The region spans 121 square miles of unincorporated areas surrounding the City of Lompoc, including the Mission Hills, Vandenberg Village and Mesa Oaks communities. As a part of patrol operations, deputies also interact with law enforcement personnel at Vandenberg Air Force Base and the Lompoc Federal Prison.

One particular area of enforcement is the Santa Ynez riverbed and surrounding areas bordering the City of Lompoc. As part the State of Calfiornia Parks and Recreation Off-Highway Vehicle grant funding deputies use ATV’s to patrol the area in order to locate illegal off-road vehicles which can damage private property and the environment.
