This team of highly skilled sworn and non-sworn professionals provide the vital specialized resources that are crucial for facilitating the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office public safety mission. Support Services encompasses the areas of finance, the business office, information systems and technology, special services, human resources, public safety dispatch, criminal records, judicial services, training, contract services, and data analytics.

Goleta: Mark your calendars for our upcoming Coffee with a Cop featuring Forensics and their Child ID kits! This event offers an opportunity for open dialogue, building relationships, and addressing any concerns community members may have. Members of the Forensic Services Bureau will also be there offering child identification kits that include fingerprinting. This event coincides with National Forensic Sciences Week (September 15-21, 2024) that recognizes the contributions forensic science makes to the criminal justice system.

Sheriff Brown shared in honoring Lt. Arnoldi’s years of service and said “Working 50 years in any field is a remarkable accomplishment, but especially so in a law enforcement career. We at the Sheriff’s Office salute Lt. Ugo “Butch” Arnoldi for faithfully protecting and serving the people of Santa Barbara County as a Sheriff’s deputy, supervisor and manager for more than five decades.”

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office will host a National Night Out event in Carpinteria on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. National Night Out is a nationwide, annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, more caring place to live and work.
This block-party event will be in the 800-block of Linden Avenue from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sheriff’s Office staff including a K9 Unit, Custody Deputies and members of the Forensics Services Bureau will be there to mingle with the community. The Forensics team will be offering child identification kits that include fingerprinting. Carpinteria Fire, Carpinteria Public Works, and California State Parks will be joining us along with more being added each week.
