Isla Vista, Calif. – At approximately 11:11 am, Sheriff’s detectives located 85-year-old Sonia Lang Crestfield who was reported as an at-risk-missing person on July 14, 2025. Sadly, she was found deceased in the Goleta Slough area. The Sheriff’s Office activated a Silver Alert for Crestfield who was last seen on July 11, 2025, at approximately 1130 hours, near 6647 El Colegio Rd in Isla Vista (Friendship Manor).

This death does not appear suspicious in nature. Cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
