Santa Barbara, Calif. – The Coroner’s Bureau has completed notification to the family of the incarcerated person who died of an apparent suicide at the Main Jail yesterday. The decedent is 41-year-old Cecilia Michelle Covarrubias from Santa Ynez. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office will continue to provide additional updates as they become available.
