Goleta, Calif. –Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a high-value burglary at a local jewelry store and are asking for the public’s help in identifying additional victims.
Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at Baroness Jewelers in the 5700-block of Calle Real on August 16, 2025. Through their investigation, detectives believe the crime occurred in the early morning hours of August 15, 2025, and that it shares similarities with other recent jewelry store burglaries across California.
Preliminary estimates indicate that millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry was stolen, including items belonging to customers. Detectives are working to identify all victims connected to this case and are asking anyone who had jewelry at Baroness Jewelers for repair or resale to contact them.
Investigators are also working to identify specific stolen items that could help connect suspects to the crime and aid in the possible recovery of stolen property. At this stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made, and the case remains active and ongoing. Detectives are coordinating with allied agencies who are investigating similar cases.
