Orcutt, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office invites community members to join deputies for Coffee with a Cop on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00am – 11:00 a.m. at Gina’s Piece of Cake, 205 East Clark Avenue in Orcutt.

This informal gathering gives residents an opportunity to meet with deputies, ask questions, share concerns, and get to know the men and women who serve their community. There is no agenda or speeches, just a chance to have a conversation and build relationships in a comfortable environment.

Thanks to the generosity of Gina’s Piece of Cake, drip coffee will be provided free of charge to attendees during the event.

“Events like Coffee with a Cop give us the chance to connect with the people we serve, outside of a call for service,” said Community Resource Deputy Shawn Banks. “Orcutt is a tight-knit community, and these conversations—big or small—help us understand what matters most to the people we serve. I hope folks will stop by, grab a cup of coffee, and share what’s on their minds.”

The Sheriff’s Office looks forward to welcoming residents, business owners, and community partners to this event.
